甑島一番の絶景ともいわれる長目の浜（眺めの浜）を見ることができます。長目の浜は上甑島の北西部、幅50m、長さ約4kmにわたって続く美しい砂浜の砂州で、「なまこ池」、「貝池」、「鍬崎池」と東シナ海を仕切っています。島津光久公が巡視の際に「眺めの浜」と命名し、景観をほめたことが名前の由来といわれています。
