隆起したサンゴ礁が季節風や荒波によって浸食されてできた奇岩や断崖のことを、当地では「犬の門蓋（いんのじょうふた）」と呼んでいます。
駐車場から遊歩道を海に向かって下っていくと、２つの洞門が眼鏡をくり抜いたように見える「メガネ岩」があります。長年にわたる浸食によってつくられた奇岩の一つです。
