島特産のエラブユリをデザインした和泊町歴史民俗資料館は、沖永良部島の考古・歴史・民俗資料等を保存して展示する施設として、平成9年（1997年）にオープンしました。出土品のほか、昔の農具・漁具・機織り機など暮らしにまつわる道具が展示されています。屋外には、「古民家」や「9本柱の高倉」もあります。エラブユリの歴史や世界のユリの姿を見ることもできます。
